Allumeria Demo vs Early Access
What the free forest slice includes, and what 0.15 adds.
The Allumeria demo is a real game slice, not a trailer with a pause menu. It exists so you can test mining, RGB building, forest dungeons, Forest Spirit, and Steam co-op before you pay. Early Access 0.15 is the paid widening. This page is the difference list.
What the demo includes
Forest biome only. Flint to copper to Forest Dungeon to Forest Spirit. Workbench, Furnace, hold-R shapes, Paint Roller, RGB lights, night spawns, caves, and peer-to-peer multiplayer from the pause menu. Skins. Wiring basics. Worlds and items are intended to remain intact when you buy. The demo launched beside 0.12 in January 2026 after a three-month multiplayer push.
If you only want to know whether the voxel hands feel good, the demo is enough. Play getting started, building, and the Forest Dungeon walkthrough. If those three sessions bore you, 0.15 will not magically become a different genre.
What the demo omits
Snow biome, cobalt, permafrost, Snow Dungeon, Snow Spirit. Desert, palladium, quicksand, worm tower. The extra bosses and dungeons counted in the 0.15 snapshot. Some late trinkets and metals. The full achievement list (demo listed a smaller set). Think of the demo as chapter one and Early Access as chapters one through three.
Older wiki.gg lines that say “Snow Spirit unavailable in the Demo” are still the right idea even if version numbers drifted.
Carry-forward and mixed lobbies
Official messaging: demo worlds load in the full version. Playtest items were kept when the demo shipped. Back up anyway. Mixed lobbies fail socially more than technically: a demo friend cannot walk into your snow chapter with you in any meaningful way. Host forest if the party is mixed. Multiplayer has the Steam Join Game steps.
When to buy
Buy when the forest chapter feels finished and you want snow and desert this week. Buy if you want to fund the solo roadmap (NPCs, dedicated servers, sky dungeon). Wait if you still have not spent a Forest Key; finish the demo first. Price sits near twelve dollars with launch discounts. Confirm on Steam. The Early Access 0.15 page and review argue the value in longer form.
Piracy sites and “Allumeria free full pc” posts are unrelated to the demo. The legitimate free client is Steam’s demo app. Itch alphas were the historical free channel and should not be mixed with random download portals.
After you buy, do not skip biomes and bosses. The demo trained forest habits that snow will punish. Palladium is not a reskinned copper. The progression checklist exists so demo veterans do not wander into quicksand in forest greaves.
System needs are the same order of magnitude; see system requirements. The demo is also the right place to test a Steam Deck or a controller before you spend money.
Demo habits that transfer
Everything you learn about paved floors, hold-R shapes, and Forest Keys is still true after purchase. Demo veterans waste money only when they assume snow is forest with white paint. It is not. Permafrost, cobalt, and a ritual boss are a new chapter. Treat the demo as a placement test: if you can beat Forest Spirit and host a friend without losing the only key, you are ready to buy. If you still die on the first night, stay in the free slice. The progression checklist is the same list with extra boxes; you are not starting from zero, you are unlocking the rest of the syllabus.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Is the Allumeria demo free?
Yes, on Steam. It is forest-only with multiplayer. It is not the full Early Access 0.15 map.
Will my demo world transfer?
That is the official design. Copy the folder before a big patch anyway.
Can demo players join an Early Access snow world?
Do not plan a snow raid with a demo-only guest. Host forest or wait until everyone owns 0.15. See multiplayer.
Does the demo include the Forest Spirit?
Yes. It is the demo’s boss. Snow Spirit and the desert worm are beyond the demo slice.
