Allumeria Snow Dungeon Walkthrough
Cold ore, falling ice, and the altar that builds a Snow Spirit.
The Snow Dungeon is the second raid chapter in Steam Early Access 0.15. The forest-only demo omits it. Players who finish the Forest Dungeon walkthrough and then walk into white hills in copper greaves are the ones posting refund threads. This page is the snow equivalent: find it, kit for it, clear it, then summon Snow Spirit in the boss room.
Prep before the white hills
Snow has little copper and more gold. Cobalt is the tool metal that actually belongs here. Craft a Cobalt Pickaxe before a gold toy. Ice Torches beat regular torches for reading permafrost. Returning Potions are common in crates after 0.13; pack two. Gecko Gloves and a Paraglider help on the 0.14 cliffs that feed into snow. Rank those slots on the trinkets list.
Permafrost applies Freezing, slows you, and damages you. Do not picnic on it. Icycles fall when triggered and freeze. Yetis hit for about 30 with 40 health. Ice Fuzzies and Snow Wizards with homing shots fill hallways. The biomes guide is the outdoor version of this warning. The dungeon is worse because you cannot kite into sun.
Finding the structure
Snow Dungeons use the large structure system introduced around 0.9. Look for a dedicated brick complex in the snow biome, not a forest tree trunk. If you are still seeing lantern towers from year-old videos, you are watching pre-rework forest, not snow. Chart cobalt veins on the way in so the walk home is not a flint story.
Bring a melee that matches cobalt or at least iron-plus, plus a charged bow for wizards. Joke weapons stay in the chest. The weapons tier list marks Frosted Boomerang and snowball guns as snow-situational, not as a cobalt substitute.
Inside: traps and loot
Expect Ice Chests, Ice Crates, and the same “do not trust the floor” lesson as forest unstable bricks, except the punishment is freeze plus Yeti. Paint a colour trail on the way down; snow lighting erases landmarks. If you house a Farmer, fishing supplies help the trek, but housing is optional here. If you have not housed the Builder, you still have no bed; do not plan to sleep in the dungeon. See NPC housing.
Loot feeds cobalt crafts, ice-themed trinkets, and the ritual parts. Giant snowballs and the Evil Tophat are the summon kit. A painting in the dungeon hints at the recipe if you refuse spoilers. Do not place the hat in a forest meadow and expect a snowman.
Boss room ritual
The Snow Boss Spawner sits in the dungeon’s boss chamber. Stack two Big Snowballs on it, then crown them with the Evil Tophat. That is the Snow Spirit. Fight notes, slam damage, tophat phases, homing ice, diamond drops, and the Hat’s Off! achievement live in the boss guide. This page stops at the altar. If you die, rebuild the stack; do not assume the pieces persist in a useful way.
Pave the chamber with manufactured blocks before you place the hat. Adds on snow dirt will eat the kite. Comfort does not apply to a boss room, but spawn rules do.
After snow
Swap the Forest Jelly Spoon out of trinket slots. Keep cobalt tools for the walk to desert palladium. The progression checklist is the order: forest chapter, then this dungeon and Snow Spirit, then desert. Demo-only friends cannot take this raid; host forest or wait. Demo vs full game explains the split.
If the client crashes on the snow load, that is a launch problem, not a dungeon puzzle. Use troubleshooting. If 0.15 retuned icycles or cobalt recipes, trust patch notes over a March video.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Is the Snow Dungeon in the Allumeria demo?
No. The demo is forest-only. Snow Dungeon and Snow Spirit are Early Access 0.15 content.
What gear should I bring?
Cobalt tools if you have them, Ice Torches, Returning Potions, and a real melee. Copper is a bad snow plan. See the biomes guide.
How do I summon the snow boss?
In the Snow Dungeon boss room, place two Big Snowballs on the spawner and an Evil Tophat on top. Combat is in the boss guide.
Why am I taking damage on the ice?
Permafrost inflicts Freezing. Get off it. Icycles can also fall and freeze you inside the dungeon.
